We raised over $500,000 — Thank you!
Dear Friends,
Thank you to all of you who played a part in honoring Abbot Barnabas last Saturday.
The generosity of friends continued after I had announced our income total on Saturday.
I am pleased to announce the total amount raised from the banquet has grown to $519,740.00.
I would like to thank our chair couples Mike and Lisa Boddicker and Bob and Janet Wholey.

Joan Charbonneau was a wonderful emcee. Thank you Joan. A special thank you goes to Karen Wuenstel, for her incredible poem about the Abbot.
Thanks to Michon Quick, Kathi Rohr and Kelly Specht for their centerpiece design and creation and especially to Rosemary Clyde and Final Touch Studios for donating the centerpieces.
Thanks to Dan and JoAnn Kanatzar and Tequila Harry’s for allowing us to film at the restaurant.
Thanks go to Laura Moccia for handling table assignments. I thank our Abbey Raven interns for all of their assistance both before and during the banquet.
I’d especially like to thank Michael and Patti Morrisey from the Catholic Education Foundation and Sue Durkin from Benedictine College. Your advice, direction, support and willingness to help whenever needed was a great benefit. It’s easy to see why Gaudeamus and the Benedictine Scholarship Ball are such great events.
Lastly, I’d again like to thank Lisa Boddicker. If there was a driving force in this event to honor Abbot Barnabas, it has been Lisa. From dealing with many details, to rallying volunteers, Lisa has been there. Thank you so much.
