Father Albert Hauser is a native of Burlington, Iowa. From 1960 to 1970 Father Albert worked as Director of Vocations for the abbey. During that time he was also prefect for the priesthood students (known as “Hilltoppers” at that time.) He then served as Director of Admissions, recruiter for the college, and Registrar. Beginning in 1970 he began his parochial ministry. He was pastor of Sacred Heart in Atchison from 1970 to 1973. One year at St. John’s Church in Burlington, Iowa. In 1974. He became pastor of SS. Peter and Paul in Seneca and served there until 1984. He went back to Burlington as pastor of St. John’s Church until 1990, when the parish was given back to the diocese. From 1991 to 2001 he served as pastor of Holy Spirit in Overland Park. In 2001 he was assigned to St. Michael’s Parish in Axtell where he still serves.
