Position Overview

Implementing preventative maintenance, liaising with service providers, performing regular inspections of, and ensuring all vehicles are in safe working order.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing maintenance plans and implementing them.

  • Ensuring quality control standards are consistently met.

  • Keeping track of supply and material tool inventories.

  • Purchasing any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required.

  • Updating maintenance logs for all vehicles.

  • Establishing protocols for non-mechanical maintenance.

  • Performs routine inspections of all systems and equipment. 

  • Perform routine repair work and other work of a general maintenance nature.

  • Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.

  • Establishes and communicates the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.

  • The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

  • Perform other related duties as directed.

Education

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate degree in mechanics preferred.

Qualifications & Experience   

5-7 years of auto maintenance experience or in related construction fields.  Deep knowledge and 

understanding and respect of the Catholic faith.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills required. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in relevant codes, laws, and regulations.

  • Experience working multiple sites. 

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

  • Necessary certifications as required by law.

  • Ability to protect confidential information, be attentive for extended periods of time, work under distracting conditions, and utilize good judgement.

  • Ability to move, sit, stand, bend, and lift 40 pounds intermittently throughout the workday.

Work Environment

The work environment is both indoors and outdoors, with minimal travel.
